MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 23, 2003
ANNUAL, HOMEOWNERS MEETING

ATTENDANCE
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 p.m.; those attending were Vernon Hassell,
presiding, Mel Weiser, Claude Baker, Louise Gonzales, Michael Janner and Denis
House with Mark Mohr absent. Eighty-one households were represented, and
Genesis Community Management representatives Carl DeBarbieris, Will Decane,
and Shara Parson were also present.

MINUTES
Secretary Louise Gonzales read the minutes of the January 2002 Annual
Homeowners meeting.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the 2002 Annual Meeting Minutes.

NOMINATIONS
Vernon Hassell, presiding, opened the floor for nominations to the Inwood Forest
Board of Directors. Motions were made and seconded to nominate Claude Baker,
Charles Crain, and Vernon Hassell to the Board of Director’s.
There were no further nominations.

ELECTIONS OF DIRECTORS
A motion was made and unanimously approved by acclamation to elect the three
nominees to the three positions available on the Board of Directors.

STATE OF THE ASSOCIATION
Presidents Address
Vernon Hassell, presiding, discussed the flooding issue and what steps are being
taken to bring Inwood Forest out of the loo-year flood plain. Hassell read a letter
from the Harris County Flood Control. The letter stated Harris County would begin
widening Vocal Creek in the fourth quarter of 2004. The Board is pressing Harris
County to begin this construction in 2003.
Security Report
Security efforts are showing positive results. Director Baker, announced crime
statistics in Inwood Forest and crime statistics within a one mile radius of Inwood
Forest. These statistics showed Inwood Forest has a substantially lower crime rate
than those neighbors hood within one mile.
Deed Restrictions
Director Janner announced that the Association has placed enforcing the Deed
Restrictions on hold allowing residents the opportunity to clean up after the
flooding, which occurred in the fall of 2002. He announced that the Association,
starting at the beginning of January, has begun to enforce the Deed Restrictions.

FINANCIAL, REPORT
Treasurer Denis House presented the 2003 Budget and homeowners were given the
opportunity to discuss issues, which were a concern.

OPEN DISCUSSION
Discussion on vacant lots after Harris County Flood Control demolishes
houses.
Discussion on politicians who are helping the Association.

ADJORMENT
With no further business coming before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at
9:05 p.m.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS
The newly elected Board of Directors convened at 9:15 p.m. to elect officers for the
Board of Directors. Motion was made, seconded and unanimously approved to
install the following Officer:
President: Vernon Hassell
Vice President: Mark Mohr
Secretary: Louise Gonzales
Treasurer: Mark Mohr
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
